Rusty Blackwell, the Backwoods Butcher is a local wrestler working with Northland Wrestling and the NRGY Pro Wrestling Academy. Rusty has accepted an eating challenge made by the Moose Cookhouse in North Bay, Ontario. October 24th will be an event full of eating good food combined with meeting a bunch of local wrestlers and offering discounts on tickets and merch. THE CHALLENGE
Their crispy wings are a local tradition with every wing being made to order and never pre-cooked. With more than 100 signature sauces to choose from, the Moose Cookhouse is home to the best wings that can be found in all of Northern Ontario. On October 25th at 7p Rusty Blackwell will be eating the hottest sauced wings that the Moose offers.
They have a sauce on their menu called Homisuicide which is the hottest you can order. This is hotter. The “Waiver Sauce” requires that you sign a legal waiver to ensure the establishment preparing the food cannot be held liable for the outcome of eating the sauce. The Scoville scale is a tool for measuring the spiciness or pungency of hot peppers. The scale measures the amount of capsaicin (the chemical compound that causes spicy heat) in a pepper and assigns it a number rating in Scoville Heat Units (SHUs). The Moose’s Waiver Sauce has a rating which is roughly 3 million SHU which is significantly higher than the average hot sauce. Actually it is thousands of times higher.
The challenge the Moose offers is to finish 10 Waiver Sauce wings in 1 hour. Rusty will be attempting to eat these wings in a timed capacity setting a record for eating these spicy wings quickly. DO NOT TRY THIS AT HOME.
RUMBLE IN THE NORTH 2022
Northland Wrestling’s RUMBLE IN THE NORTH 2022 comes to you Saturday, November 5th from Odyssee High School located at 480 Norman Avenue, North Bay. While Rusty is eating the wings and breaking the challenge, tickets will be $5 off for both General Admission or VIP.
